Event Raises Money for Operation School Bell
Assistance League®️ Norman’s annual fundraiser took on a spooky twist this year as attendees enjoyed a Halloween party atmosphere at the All Hallows Gala, held at The Nest at Terra Verde. Over $109,000 was raised thanks to the generosity of supporters of Assistance League Norman through donations, silent and live auctions, drawing and a costume contest.
The money raised will benefit Assistance League Norman’s main philanthropic program, Operation School Bell®️. Each year Operation School Bell works with Norman and Little Axe Public School counselors to identify children in need of new school clothes, shoes and grooming items. Over 2,000 students (kindergarten through 12th grade) will participate in a one-to-one shopping experience at the Assistance League chapter house, where they have an Operation School Bell “store”. Operation School Bell has been serving children and families in Norman since 1975.
