Pub W Offers Laid-back Atmosphere, Great Food and Drink

We’re always down for a good time at Pub W, and we’re thinking it’s the perfect spot for a laid-back New Year’s Eve dinner this year. Because really, is there anything more classic than a midnight pub toast?

Located in Brookhaven Village in Norman, with two Oklahoma City locations as well, Pub W is a favorite of Cleveland County Lifestyle magazine staff because they really do offer something for everyone—creative takes on classic pub fare, like Pigs in a Blanket and Hand-Battered Fish & Chips, along with killer burgers, creative salads and even gluten-free buns. They’re particularly known for their Chupacabra Sandwich, a delicious concoction of chipotle chicken, grilled jalapeños, grilled onions, Muenster cheese and spicy aioli between two slices of the best jalapeño bread you’ve ever tasted. Pro tip: order a side of beer cheese for dipping. Trust us.

But if you’re already thinking about New Year’s Resolutions and are looking for something on the healthier side, then their vegetarian Roasted Vegetable & Quinoa Stew is perfect for January, too; it’s loaded with zucchini, corn, bell peppers and tomatoes and is topped with salsa, cilantro, avocado and feta cheese.

And did you know? Everything is made from scratch, in-house, daily, from the Chipotle Meatloaf down to the dressings. That’s commitment, and we dig it.

You can find us fueling up for Monday’s New Year’s Eve festivities with Pub W’s brunch, available Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Favorites include Chicken & Waffles and Huevos Rancheros, and mimosa carafes are just $7.

While the food is excellent, Pub W has definitely garnered the reputation of drawing in craft cocktail connoisseurs. Their Pub Toddy, made with Maker’s Mark, ginger liqueur, honey and lemon in a glass that’s been given a Laphroig Scotch rinse, is just the thing to warm you up on a chilly winter night. But for that midnight toast, go for the Slice of Life, styled like a French 75 and made with Mathlide Pear Liqeur, Laird’s Apple Jack, allspice dram and bubbles. It’ll knock your socks off.

If beer is more your style, Pub W handedly delivers in that department as well. They offer 50+ bottles, cans and draughts, with plenty of local options like Angry Scotsman Pale Ryder and COOP F5. Take flight and try any four 4 oz. draft beers for just $9, a great option if you want to eventually work your way through the list. Follow on Instagram at @pubw
