Sedan Offers Great Fuel Economy + Power and Style
Looking for a powerful and stylish sedan that also offers great fuel economy?
Toyota’s 2018 Camry Hybrid LE delivers, with an estimated 47 mpg (close to the impressive Toyota Prius’ 52 mpg overall), but with no compromise to acceleration or trunk space—and a quieter engine. Additional benefits of this sedan include standard automatic climate control, heated seats and electronic parking brake, all for around $29,000.
Toyota also offers the Camry Hybrid in two other trims, though they can’t claim the same fuel economy as the SE with its lithium-ion battery: the SE, the sporty version, and the high-end XLE.
The improved design and performance of the Camry Hybrid’s Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine, along with a proven electric motor and smooth-shifting CVT, help the vehicle deliver a remarkably efficient drive.
Drivers of this hybrid may personalize their trips with a choice of drive modes. ECO Mode maximizes fuel economy, while EV Mode26 enables electric driving. The energy monitor displays how the power is being delivered to the drive wheels or how otherwise wasted energy is captured to charge the battery. The new Sport Mode improves throttle response, while ECO Mode adjusts throttle input to maximize efficiency. EV Mode enables electric driving to help reduce noise and emissions.
