Norman, Oklahoma City Franchises Known for Service, Integrity

Nobody is happy when their vehicle breaks down or unexpectedly requires repair, and for many (especially) women, the thought of dealing with mechanics is fraught with anxiety.

At Christian Brothers Automotive–two locations offer residents in Norman and Oklahoma City added convenience–a tremendous effort is made to ease their customers’ trepidation and, indeed, make the experience as pleasurable as possible.

Notes Mike Cochran, owner of the shop on Western Avenue in Oklahoma City, “We often take customers to work, pick up kids from daycare or school, and even run errands for or with a customer to help them keep up with busy lives while the car is being repaired. We understand how precious time is and do everything we can to repair the car and get it back as soon as possible.”

Both locations also offer nicely appointed waiting rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi, coffee, soft drinks and water, as well as the shuttle service.

Of course, the most important considerations when selecting (or returning to) an automobile repair shop are competence, reliability and honesty.

Christian Brothers Automotive has a solid reputation for all three.

“We have state-of-the-art facilities,” says Curtis Henning, owner of the Norman location. “We have three master techs with over 65 years’ experience between the three of them. We offer honesty and integrity in our work and value for the services performed. We treat each car as if it were our own. We will not over-quote, and will make sure you are aware of all issues with your vehicle. We will help you prioritize the work as needed.”

Adds Cochran, “We have an industry-leading warranty. All work that we do is warrantied for 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever comes LAST (as opposed to first)! We use high quality OE parts and the best fluids available in the industry.

“As a full-service franchise,” he added, “we have tremendous training resources available to our technicians. This is a commitment from the home office to ensure we have all the tools and technology to diagnose the problem and repair it correctly. That is why we are able to back up all of our repairs with an industry-leading warranty.”

Both Cochran and Henning said their customers may expect competitive pricing, though not necessarily the cheapest. Some competitors may resort to gimmicks to get customers in the door, then pressure them to perform other work, or use lower-quality parts. Christian Brothers save their customers money by running thorough diagnostics, so they repair only what’s necessary.

As the saying goes, the proof is in the pudding. In this case, the “pudding” is the high percentage of repeat (loyal) customers as well as a healthy referral rate, reported at both locations.

Both men bring a passion to their work and to those they serve.

Cochran, a former college football coach who spent many summers abroad as a teacher at youth camps on American football, said he has been able to draw upon those experiences in his current endeavor.

“These experiences taught me that wherever you go in this world we are basically the same and all want the same things. We all want to be treated fairly, build great friendships, have a purpose in life and ultimately be a part of something bigger than ourselves,” he said.

Henning added, “We just want the readers to know that we want to serve them in any capacity we can. It’s more than a business: it’s a calling to help people with their vehicles.”
